Let's get it started! the 10th edition of Click On The Mountain, the international freeride event-photo contest in Courmayeur.
The 2017 edition, happening from 6 march to 11 march, will be a blast! The Video Edition presents a new format which will give you even more amazing stuff than before. It’s never been an easy task to use the 72 hour long time slot and produce the best and most innovative photo portfolio possible to win the COTM competition, and the teams will have to double their efforts this year: each team consists of 1 photographer, 1 filmer, and 2 riders joining forces to deliver 5 pictures and a 2 minute video edit solely produced around Courmayeur Mont Blanc and during a 3 day window.
During COTM week everyone can experience the event on site! here some cool stuff for you:
Camp Freeride: thanks to Alpineadventures.travel you can live the experience of freeride for one week or even 3 days in Courmayeur, learning the basis of Avalanche SOS and the freeride tecnique on the best mountains in Europe, accompained by the local guides! Street Session: you can watch the action during the public street session on thursday March 3rd, and join the teams for a nice après ski (location TBD, Stay Tuned!)
What a week! The weather around Courmayeur and the Mont Blanc changed from deep winter into spring-like conditions in no time - and the teams struggled hard to fulfill the tasks that Click on the Mountain 2017 had imposed on them. A 2 minute video, a short edit for Instagram and 10 pictures had to be delivered after 3 days of shooting. But this years's output was beyond any expectations and both the jury and the public during the prize-giving ceremony were amazed by the photographic and filmmaking skills of the 4 teams. Lukas Riedl won the video categories, while Florian Breitenberger won Best Picture.
